The Bombardier CL-415 offset contract with the Hellenic Air Force (HAF), signed in the late 1990s, involved a procurement agreement for firefighting aircraft alongside an associated offsets contract. This offsets contract became the subject of a significant legal dispute regarding the fulfillment of its terms and a related letter of credit.
Details of the Contract and Legal Case Procurement: In 1998, the Hellenic Ministry of National Defense (HMOD) contracted with Bombardier for CL-415 amphibious firefighting aircraft.
Offsets Agreement: An offsets contract required Bombardier to subcontract work to Greek companies to provide economic benefits to Greece.
The end of our Selefkou St. production facility for the Bombardier Junction boxes contract – everything, all of our equipment and parts in store was sold off for 27,500 to Miltech, they even ripped out the alarm system, office furniture, electronic components, hardware parts and modules, specialized tooling, laboratory and industrial measurement equipment, home brew software and hardware devices, and notably all our accounting dossiers went missing during the ransack and confiscation of our material and intellectual property.
